Can’t wait for Columbia Pictures to sue Universal, forcing them to call it Nicholas Stoller’s Neighbors.

Laughed at the Taxi Driver bit.

Big fan of Stoller's work. Seems a bit outside of his typical stuff though

There are so many big comedies in 2014. May is too crowded and obviously ID-Weekend is too, nothing in August. One has to go there, it's a great opening date for comedies.

Neighbors, Chef, The Family Moon, Jump Street 2, Think like a man too, Sex Tape and Tammy could combine to 900m at the box office, maybe even more in that weak summer.

Now we just have to find better release dates. One could go to April maybe.

Back to Neighbors: trailer looks hilaious.

Looks good. Needs some more post production work, some parts were pretty obvious to be either green screened or special effects (like at the end, with the chair air bag. The characters movements through the air were so obvious to be effects).

"You can have all the faith in spirits and the afterlife, heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot, because you can tell that you put your faith in God to get through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways."

"How happy is the blameless vestal's lot! The world forgetting, by the world forgot. Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind! Each prayer accepted, and each wish resigned."

What is Family Moon? Weak Summer? No 2 400M+, but 2 300M and 4 250M+ with 2 250M+ in May, one potential break out, TGD maybe Up #'s, AMWTDITW you forgot that one, can be huge like Ted. HTTYD2=S2?, TF4 will do huge OS/WW and 300M+ DOM, Fast 7 250M-275M+ and GOTG has 200M-250M potential, it will be a big Summer.

You need to check into rehab if you think TA2 isn't going to make a dent in AVATAR 2's box office

VII Predictions

Unless Cameron offers SMELL-O-VISION with AVATAR 2, It's not doing more than 400M Plus ..  And YES, I'll bet AVATAR 2 doesn't do more than at best 425M Domestic

Familymoon is that Sandler/Barrymorre paid vacation to Africa romcom. It opens on Memorial Day weekend along with X-Men.

If this breaks out, like it looks like it can, hopefully it smothers that. Plus A Million Ways to Die In the West opens the weekend after Memorial Day.

Although, with Chef opening the same day as this, these two movies could cannibalize each other.

Forgot about AMWTDITW, wow, very crowded indeed.

As for Summer 2014: It just feels weak on paper. Many mid sized to great hits, but a 4th Transformers movie fighting with the 250m mark doesn't feel the same as a movie like Ted managing that number, if you know what I mean. Just like POTC4.

The big tentpole is missing. Even TASM doesn't feel that anticipated, it's the sequel to a nice movie, but it's not the sequel to Batman Begins. Fast 7? Feels rushed and I think they have to pay for that. Guardians of the Galaxy has the Potential to break out, though.

At least 2014 feels so much more balanced.

Dave Franco dressed as Robert DeNiro in Meet The Parents is so hilarious to me, looking forward to this.

Looks great!! I like how the trailer says "this summer" did it leak or something? It would seem odd to have a trailer say this summer when it comes out in summer 2014.
