I'll be shocked if WB doesn't slot this into the July 26th slot now that Thor 2 vacated and that studio's history of having a hard on for that mid/late July date.

I am guessing it will move and hangover 3 might take the June date for MOS.

WB has atleast 3 movies for Summer 2013 without release dates. Most likely Summer for being WB tentpoles. I would say keep in its spot and play it like BB and GL if does good move to mid-July for the sequel (if it ever happens).

You need to check into rehab if you think TA2 isn't going to make a dent in AVATAR 2's box office.. You are stoned dude and need to step back and re-evaluate what your saying... :sherlock:

it ll be striving make half of what first one did

AVATAR 2  At best will do around 475-500M Domestic

The Man of Steel also has stuff like Star Trek 2 (which will probably drop in late June) to worry about.

TRUE...but you know...it's quite similar if that happens. Hugely anticipated sequel to a surprise blockbuster opening right after a new Superman movie meant to revive the franchise.

For many reasons

Very true. MoS does look good now, lets see how it does. I would put ST2 over MOS handily by over 100M+ DOM.

To their credit, WB is already pushing this to the public, especially Henry Cavill with all those set pictures "leaking" of him ripped. They're doing the exact opposite of Brandon Routh who was shrouded in mystery during the making of Superman Returns. Filming doesn't wrap until the start of next year and yet Cavill's already done a number of interviews specifically to talk up The Man of Steel (i.e. that EW cover story weeks after his hiring was announced).

And you know the marketing will read "From the people who brought you the Batman trilogy, Inception and 300" on the trailers and one-sheets and showcase all the big names centering around the unknown Cavill. They just can't depend on the S/ to secure asses in seats.

If it moves I say put 300:BoA in its spot.
