There may be no stopping Liam Neeson. The veteran thespian has evolved into one of moviegoers' favorite action stars thanks to the success of 2009's Taken, headlining several global hits ever since. Be it his leading roles in Taken 2 and Unknown, or as a supporting player in Wrath of the Titans and Battleship (an overseas hit despite its domestic shortcomings), Neeson has established himself as one of the most reliable box office draws of the last five years.

Now, he's taking to the sky with fellow vet Julianne Moore in Universal's Non-Stop, opening February 28. The flick promises to give Neeson's fans more of the pulse-pounding, thriller-driven action they've come to enjoy. Can it best the modest performance of 2012's The Grey and add to the growing list of 2014's early hits?

Buzz on Twitter indicates as much. Non-Stop's 9,283 tweets over the past week represent 108 percent more discussion activity than Wrath of the Titans (notable since sequels often generate inflated levels of online buzz), 140 percent more than Unknown (also from Non-Stop director, Jaume Collet-Serra), and 555 percent more than The Grey. Last year's star-driven springtime action breakout, Olympus Has Fallen, posted very similar buzz at the same point with... (more)

Something you should be aware of when looking at Facebook likes:  http://www.youtube.c...h?v=oVfHeWTKjag

I imagine the number of fake likes is increasing at a healthy pace.  Is there some way to find out how much a movie is being "advertised" on facebook?

I knew that facebook was shit when it came to predicting numbers when I saw that Machete Kills was trending there.

I think it'll probably go higher. $30+m.

I could see this opening close to $35 million. People love Neeson, and this looks like another fast paced action hit.

...but 3 DAYS TO KILL may give the market a kind of "action thriller" overkill.

Especially after the non-starter in JACK RYAN reboot.
