I really wanna read the play, but then again I don't for shock factor. Hmmm....

And so it goes, and so it goes. And the book says, "We may be through with the past, but the past ain't through with us."

After reading the play and seeing it onstage, I can tell that the Meryl And Julia roles are as showoff-y and Oscar baity as the roles that Debra Winger and Shirley McLaine played in Terms of Endearment. If anything, this film will most surely put Roberts back in the Oscars' radar, and provide Meryl Streep with yet another Oscar nomination.

I am surprised Julia missed awards radar with Eat Pray Love. I get why she stood no chance with the Oscars, but isn't that kind of thing right up the Golden Globes' alley?

And a gigantic LOL @ this misleading trailer!

Looks okay. I read the play a few years ago and enjoyed it, despite my aversion to plots involving adult children returning home for a weekend.

Probably because that movie was all kinds of terrible.

Julia was pretty solid in it though. And I didn't read the book so I liked it. The book lovers say the movie was shallow compared to the book. The subject matter was pretty polarizing in the first place.

Erin Brockovich was the last Julia Roberts movie I cared about, and this doesn't look to change that. I get that the play is supposed to be great, but I seem to be the only person who expected mediocrity when it was announced that John Wells would direct.

The Lego Movie - A / Captain America: The Winter Soldier - B+ / Noah - B / Robocop - B-

Divergent - C+ / The Monuments Men - C / Ride Along - D+

Meryl Streep could do a five minute cameo dressed as Barney the Dinosaur and richzang would still be all like

I love Meryl's voice in this.

And so it goes, and so it goes. And the book says, "We may be through with the past, but the past ain't through with us."

THIS is what riczhang's been hyping up since the last Oscars? Sorry boo but the trailer doesn't make this look like anything special. The whole thing just screams "look how real and authentic we are, this is going to be such a unique and relatable movie"

It's just a shitty trailer. The actual thing is way darker and way funnier.

I don't agree with the shitty characterisation but this. Prescreeninga have already told us that it is fairly faithful to the original. However, they need to sell it like this or else it'd never sell and this movie is reportedly shit expensive. Like 40-45 million expensive.

Who were Henry the VIII and the Duke of Earl? Unsure-but they must of been great to have songs about them.

Oh get out of here. We all know this'll succeed, at the very least on the back of his Maj Harvey Weinstein. ;)
